1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
ERROR: G4106, planē
1) a wandering, a straying about
1a) one led astray from the right way, roams hither and thither
2a) mental straying
2a1) error, wrong opinion relative to morals or religion
2b) error which shows itself in action, a wrong mode of acting
2c) error, that which leads into error, deceit or fraud.
The spirit of ERROR (planē) is related to, and is the feminine form of, the SEDUCING (planos) spirit. Therefore, if there is a person who SEDUCES, there must necessarily be a person who is willingly to be SEDUCED.
A person who is influenced by a SEDUCING spirit, KNOWINGLY leads another person, or other persons, into error. A person who is influenced by the spirit of ERROR, on the other hand, must willingly stray from the truth. It takes two to tango!
I have always been amazed by some of the silly doctrines and teachings many people blindly follow. However, it is obvious that people will listen to anybody who tells them what they want to hear. Specifically, many people want to hear a doctrine that will cater to their flesh. 2 Peter gives a detailed description of both the seducer and the seduced.
2Pe 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
2Pe 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
The Apostle Peter gives the example from the Old Testament of Balaam, a seer in the Old Testament. When the children of Israel were wandering in the wilderness, the King of Moab asks Balaam to curse the children of Israel; however, when Balaam attempts to curse Israel, only the blessings of God come out of his mouth. Balaam frankly tells the King of Moab that God will not let him curse Israel.
According to the story, an angel of the LORD directly warns Balaam, but even this does not stop him from lusting after the wealth that the King of Moab promises him. Therefore, Balaam proposes another method to destroy Israel:
Num 31:15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
Num 31:16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
Balaam advises the King of Moab that if the women of Moab seduce the men of Israel to worship Baalpeor, the god of the Moabites, then God would turn against them…and he was right.
Num 25:1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
Num 25:2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
God had Moses slay all the men that were seduced by the women of Moab. The Apostle Paul explains that worshipping idols is actually worshipping devils.
1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
The Apostle Paul also explained that contrary to popular belief, our bodies belong to God, NOT to us. God does not appreciate it when we allow demonic spirits to use HIS temple as a playground.
1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
The main clue to a Christian of the potential activity of a SEDUCING spirit and the activity of the spirit of ERROR is sexual immorality. Sexual immorality is the most serious sin of them all. The Apostle Paul said that ALL sins are outside the body EXCEPT sexual immorality.
1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
I know it is easy to become numb to sexual immorality because the “modern” world is literally flooded with it on computers, on television, in our literature, and in our movies, but God is deadly serious about the consequences of sexual immorality, and ALL true Christians should also be very serious about the subject.
One of the most radical teachings by Jesus was on the subject of sexual immorality.
Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Wow! Pluck out your eye? Cut off your hand? It sounds like Jesus was trying to emphasize how serious sexual immorality is to God. This should be a warning to people who believe that looking at pornography is a harmless pastime. Jesus said that looking at a woman to lust after her is the same as actually committing adultery with her in your heart.
The gift of the interpretation of tongues is all about truth and clarity, and it is directly opposite to the spirit of error. The gift of tongues and the gift of the interpretation of tongues is for each and every Christian. When you are being attacked by demonic spirits or people, you should go to God in prayer.
When I have any question or problem about anything, I simply pray in tongues and I expect an answer from God. Most of the time, I will receive a specific scripture, or scriptures, and that is all anybody needs. When you have a scripture verse, you have the answer, you have the solution, and eventually you will have a resolution to your question or problem.
The best way to deal with any problem or temptation is to come against it with the Word of God! When I have a problem I seek two or three Bible verses that address the problem.
Mat 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
I write the Bible verses on a 4x6 card and keep it right next to my bed. Before I go to bed, I read the verses in a normal speaking voice seven times. After I wake up, I read the verses in a normal speaking voice seven times again. After about three days, I will try and recite the verses without looking at the card. Usually, I will have the verses memorized after about a week, and I will usually also have some answer or resolution to my problem.
If the problem or temptation crops up again at a later date, I simply recite the memorized verses out loud maybe once or maybe even seven times, but the problem or temptation cannot resist the Word of God.
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
I know some people might be thinking, “This sounds naïve, or too simple.”
I am just saying that whether I had a toothache or if I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer, I would do the same exact thing. God IS EASY, it is the devil and his Babylonian system that makes everything difficult or impossible.
In the Book of 2nd Kings, the King of Syria sends the captain of his army, Naaman, to Israel to be healed of leprosy by the Prophet Elisha. The Prophet Elisha tells him to simply dip himself seven times in the river Jordan and he would be cured. Naaman becomes angry because the cure sounds too simple, and he is about to go back to Syria when one of his servants gives him some good advice.
2Ki 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
2Ki 5:14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
The Jordan river represents the Word of God. If we are wise, we will be continually dipping ourselves in this cleaning and refreshing stream of God.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
I don’t know about you, but I plan on being without spot or wrinkle when Jesus comes back. Most people, myself included, are prideful, we think our problems are so difficult, they are so impossible that we need teams of experts with years of knowledge with great technical skills to deal with them. Guess what? God can do anything.
Jer 32:26 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
We need to start looking at our problems from God’s perspective and STOP looking at things from a human perspective. We ARE weak, but God is STRONG!
Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
How do you think we mortify the flesh THROUGH the Spirit?
We SPEAK the Word of God to the flesh! Jesus said, “The Words that I SPEAK unto you, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE.” See John 6:63.
Why was Jesus ONE with the Father? He SPOKE the Word of God. Do you notice that Jesus nearly always quoted scripture when He is asked a question?
How do we become one with the Father and the Son? We SPEAK the Word of God! When we SPEAK the Word of God, we enter into the Kingdom of God, and we walk in the Spirit, and we worship the Father in spirit and in truth, and we have the mind of Christ, and we are the sons of God.
I hope to encourage everybody to SPEAK the Word of God more and more, and to speak our own thoughts, ideas, solutions and remedies less and less.
Get a piece of paper and write down all your problems, your trials and tribulations, your temptations and weaknesses, and any debts and distresses that seem impossible to solve. Write the problems in order from those you think are hopeless or impossible at the top of the list to those problems that seem least difficult at the bottom of the list.
Start with the least difficult problem at the bottom of the list and ask God to help you deal with it. Get a card and seek at least two scripture verses that deal with that problem (e-sword helps me find verses). SPEAK the verses seven times before you go to bed and seven times after you wake up. It will take you about five or ten minutes a day! Every week go to the next problem up the list and keep going up the list until you reach the top.
This is a great way to exercise your faith and to allow the Spirit of God to deal with your problems.
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
You will go from faith to faith, from glory to glory, and from victory to victory. See if you are not pleasantly surprised as week after week all your cares roll away by the spirit of the LORD! When you reach the top of the list, in a few weeks or months, you will truly understand that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
Luk 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
